Dr. Anthony S. Alessi attended Adelphi University as a biology major. He graduated Magna Cum Laude after only three years and then matriculated into the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with an academic scholarship and received his D.M.D.
Dr. Alessi spent a year at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan as a general practice resident in dentistry. This exposure to the hospital environment and surgery lead to a desire to further his career and scope of practice.
Dr. Alessi entered a four year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Westchester Medical Center and while there was on the chief resident council and hospital executive committee. His surgery experience ranges from trauma to full facial reconstruction and cosmetics. After completed his residency in Oral Surgery, he entered medical school at New York Medical College with an academic scholarship. Dr. Alessi graduated with honors and received his M.D. Following graduation, he completed an internship in general surgery at Westchester Medical Center under the guidance of Dr. John Savino. Dr. Alessi now practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial surgery.
Patients that have had traumatic dental visits in the past at other offices, are pleasantly surprised with Dr. Anthony Alessi’s kind manner and gentle approach to oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Alessi’s scope of practice ranges from extractions to full facial reconstruction and TMJ. Dr. Alessi’s medical education and general surgery internship allow him to handle the most complex medical and dental cases without the need to go to a hospital. Dr. Alessi welcomes all new patients and consultations.
